Serve with Us
Visitation Ministry - Roseville's Visitation Ministry was started in 1992. Each month 20-25 people from the church and the community are visited in nursing homes or at their homes. We have now expanded our visitation ministry to include cds of each week's worship service, if requested.
Diaper Bank - We are now collecting diapers to give to families in our area in need. For more information please contact the church office.
Support the Food Pantry - Food items and donations are collected throughout the month for the local food pantry which serves 1/3 of the county and approximately 700 people a month.
Card Ministry - Every month the women's group sends out dozens of cards to people in the community with birthdays, those recovering from illnesses, thinking of you cards, our service men and women and much more.
Medical Mission - Rev. Bill Pipp collects medical supplies for a hospital in Africa that is underserved. The Parish collects standard medical supplies, such as bandaids, aspirin, etc. (non-liquids) to send to support this hospital. Additionally, empty medicine bottles can be used by UMCOR after the label has been removed
Prayer Chain - Prayer is a relationship, where we can humbly communicate, worship, and seek God. Prayer can make a profound difference in our world. The Prayer Chain of Roseville UMC has been active for many years. It is made up of church members and people from the community. We number close to 100 people praying for those in time of accident, illness, or any crucial event. Many of those in our congregation and beyond have been on the prayer chain or have used it as a tool to communicate prayer needs for those you care about.
North Penn Telephone company offered an automated system where anyone who uses their voicemail can receive the prayer message automatically, within minutes after it is called in.
The chain starts with three key people who call the request into the phone company and then continue the chain with those who do not have voicemail. Only the key people can call into the system. Every 4-5 years the list is revised. If you are not on the current call list or if someone you know whould like to be added to the chain, call Linda Harwick, Linda Baker, or Alene York, to be part of this special ministry.

TCHI - Starting in the winter of 2011, Roseville has partnered with the Tioga County Homeless Initiative (TCHI) to provide a safe place for guests to be fed, to sleep, and to be nurtured. TCHI has undergone changes - from first housing guests in churches during the winter to now hosting guests year round in a home, and from staying with the guests for 12+ hour shifts to now providing dinner and fellowship from 5 pm - 10 pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this ministry in any way or would like more information please contact Jennie York.
Red Bird Mission (Located in KY) - Roseville UMC has supported the ministry of Red Bird Mission to serve those in extreme poverty, through sending people for short term missions, providing Box Tops for Education and Campbell Soup Labels, and financing special projects and general support.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, and it's sole purpose is to reach out to children throughout the world offering hope and the true meaning of Christmas.... the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Most of the children who receive these shoe box gifts and their families suffer from natural disasters, violence and desperate poverty. Operation Christmas Child has been able to reach into so many areas where the gospel has never been heard before. Since 1993 Samaritan's Purse has delivered more then 113 million shoe box gifts to children in over 120 countries. The care and prayer given to a child in need through a shoe box gift truly displays Jesus' love for the children, for He said in His word: Matthew 19:14 "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these".
Each and every shoe box filled with gifts and prayers is shipped to one of five distribution centers within our country where literature telling of the true meaning of Christmas is included in the native language of the country that it goes to. These gifts bring so much joy and hope to the children who receive them, and are most always the only gifts that they have ever received. After the children receive their shoe box gifts, they are given the opportunity to participate in a Samaritan's Purse twelve week follow-up program called "The Greatest Journey". In this program the children participate in Bible studies and lessons to learn what it means to follow Jesus and to share Him with others.
Operation Christmas Child has become one of the most effective evangelistic programs in the world today. And... it all begins with the gifts and prayers of people just like us. Perhaps God will put it on your heart today to fill a shoe box gift this season for one of His children. There are boxes in the back of the sanctuary with pamphlets included explaining in detail how to fill a box.
The toys and goodies that we put into a box can be fun, God can turn your gift into something eternal. One simple gift filled shoe box given in Jesus' name can multiply disciples, grow churches and further God's kingdom around the world. After all, isn't that why He put us here? To tell the world the salvation story! In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said "Go and make disciples of all nations". What a privilege it is to be a part of something so simple and yet so great that will bring Glory to God our Heavenly Father. Submitted by Jane Cook
Christmas Stockings - Each year the Country Crafters make stockings to fill for children in our area who will not be receiving Christmas gifts.
Cookies for College Students - At the end of each semester, the churches of the Mansfield Ministerium provide cookies at each door and the commuter lounge for students. Cookies are dropped off the Sunday before finals week, along with well wishes on finals.
Christmas Baskets for Shut Ins - Each year the Women's Group asks for donations of cookies and goodies to use to assemble baskets. This year (2104) 66 baskets were made and delivered to shut ins, those in nursing homes, and folks in need of cheer. The baskets were hand-delivered, which allowed for time to visit. Additionally, the children sang carols for those in the nursing home when delivering baskets.

Easter Egg Hunt - The Roseville Easter Egg Hunt is an outreach to the community that started under Pastor Howard, at which point, Carol Rice ran with it to make it the success it is today. The purpose is to invite children to Sunday School and parents to Church. Last year 45 children came out to hunt for eggs. This year (2015), the location of the hunt has been moved to the church.
